Showerloop is like a mini water treatment plant that has been optimised for shower conditions. We use gravity and micro filtration to clear up the big stuff like rubble and hair and to protect the pump. Then sand and activated carbon filters remove even smaller particles like skin cells, suspended solids, grease and clear the water of chemicals, colour and smell. To purify the water we use ultraviolet radiation to disable bacteria that may have escaped through the filters from being able to reproduce. The water quality is actually cleaner than tap water removing chlorine and even fluoride. Running the filter uses around 2% of the energy compared to a normal shower but in return it reduces energy consumption by 70% or more.

Water conservation does not only avoid the wastage of clean water but also has several other benefits, including longer water availability. There are plenty of devices available for water-saving which can be installed in your home’s plumbing fixtures with minimal efforts. Here are the water-saving devices that you can install at your home on your own.
Low flow high-efficiency faucet aerators
This faucet is especially capable of reducing water usage by about 4%. Using this faucet can help you save more than 500 gallons of water every year. To install this faucet aerator, unscrew the present aerator and fix the new device internally. You can also use this faucet aerator as an external attachment.
Low flow water-efficient showerheads
The low flow showerheads can reduce the usage of water from 2.5 gallons of water per minute to 1.5 gallons per minute. Installing this device is also pretty easy. Unscrew the old head and replace with the new one. With this fixture, you can save up to 2,000 gallons of water every year.
Automatic shut-off nozzles
This device is placed between the pipe and the showerhead. It is operated by simply turning the valve. This will help you to save water while you are applying soap or shampoo in the shower. You can switch the automatic shut-off nozzle before you hit the shower. This is also a screw and fix device.
Dual flush toilet converters
Toilets use the maximum amount of water in the home, which is around 30% of the entire house water usage. With dual flush toilets, you can manage to flush your urine and solids separately. While the small flush will use 0.5 gallons of water, the bigger one will use 1.5 gallons of water. This will help you to stop wasting the entire tank for flushing urine. To install it, simply cut off the water supply, and replace the older flush with the new one.
Greywater diverters are used to recycle water from rinsing laundry to be used for flushing toilets. This is a creative way of storing clean water for other purposes. It is an environmentally friendly product which can be fixed to your washing drainage. Be sure to not use any chemical-induced water for recycling purpose.
The rainwater tanks collect the rainwater from the roofs which can be used for watering plants and cleaning the backyard. The rain barrel installation can be a bit tricky, and you will need the help of your friend. You will have to remove the existing downspout and connect the rubber hosting to the gutter opening. Connect the other end of the hose in a collection device. You can make your own rain barrel with any big enough container to store water.
